😍 Gino Sarfatti Model #10. Originally designed 😍 Gino Sarfatti Model #10. Originally designed between 1937-1941, the simplicity of Sarfatti's iconic Model #10 "detto Calla" or "Lily" shade design with its sculptural shaping of the materials make for an incredibly refined example of the lighting master's incomparable style. Salvaged from a midcentury building in Italy #ginosarfatti #model10

After a 100 years. Its still stunning Vanessa BELL After a 100 years. Its still stunning Vanessa BELL (London, 1879 – Charleston, 1961) for ATELIERS OMEGA
Maud Cloth, 1913
Printed linen

Sister of Virginia Woolf, Vanessa Bell was a pillar of the Bloomsbury group to which she brought multiple creations. Very close to Roger Fry, with whom she had had an affair in 1910, Vanessa Bell is very actively involved in the adventure of the Omega workshops for which she designs furniture, ceramics and textiles. As soon as the workshops opened in July 1913, a collection of six fabrics was available. Each is edited in endless color ranges.

In these pieces printed on French linen in Normandy, near Rouen, we find the freedom of expression of the artists who draw their sources from the modernist works that Fry had brought together in his post-Impressionist exhibitions in London in 1910 and 1912. Here for example, the influence of cubist landscapes, and in particular of Braque and Picasso, is flagrant.

We find this remarkable modernity in the abstract collages that Bell and his companion Duncan Grant then composed, no doubt for carpet projects intended for the Omega workshops. Each fabric from the first collection bears the name of a woman close to Fry. These textiles were designed for furnishing, but the Omega workshops also cut clothes from them for their most daring customers. When the workshops closed in 1919, like Fry and Grant, Bell regularly continued to explore the field of textile design for other publishers.

Service pantry, other important area for dining ro Service pantry, other important area for dining room
